The Milwaukee Academy of Surgery was founded in 1963 with the primary purpose of providing the Milwaukee metropolitan area's surgical community with a forum for the exchange of surgical thought, experience and information, in order to foster improvements in the science and art of surgery that result in better patient care.
Since then, the Milwaukee Academy of Surgery has welcomed visitors from all over the world to speak at its regular meetings, hosting hundreds of locally, nationally and internationally known physicians and surgeons over the last half-century.
