The Milwaukee Academy of Surgery was founded in 1963. The purpose of the organization is to provide a forum for the exchange of surgical thought, experience and information in the Milwaukee metropolitan area and to foster improvements in the science and art of surgery that result in better patient care. The Academy holds six regular meetings each year on the fourth Monday in January, February, March, September, October and November. Currently, meetings are held at the University Club of Milwaukee. Meetings begin with a cocktail hour at 6:15 p.m., with dinner and presentation to follow.
